Behind the Scenes: Voices of JP RWEE Implementation | Episode 2: Ibrahim Siraji (Tanzania)

What does it take to know whether change is really happening?

In this episode of Behind the Scenes: Voices of JP RWEE Implementation, Ibrahim Siraji, Tanzania National Monitoring, Evaluation, Accountability and Learning (MEAL) Coordinator for JP RWEE, takes us beyond indicators and results frameworks to explore the people and stories behind the data.

Drawing on his experience working across programme coordination and MEAL, Ibrahim reflects on why understanding change means staying close to communities and recognising that solutions need to respond to different local realities, even within the same country.

As a father to a young daughter, Ibrahim shares why creating more equal opportunities for women and girls matters to him, and one of the biggest lessons his work has taught him: meaningful change takes time, and progress is not always linear.
